Heather Ondersma | Intimacy Coordinator

Hi, I’m Heather.
I’m all about making meaningful connections—connecting script to vision, artist to artist, and audience to action.
Since 2021, I’ve been the intimacy coordinator/director on 70+ projects, including:
• Companion – a New Line/Warner Brothers release
• DiDi – a Sundance award winner with a theatrical release
• Fairyland – a Sundance premiere
Based in California and New York, I hold a Canadian work permit and am an intrepid traveler open to working in even the most remote locations.
Let’s connect!

Bio
I began intimacy coordination training in 2019 after 15 years directing theatre in New York, Los Angeles, Prague, and Vancouver.
I’ve trained extensively with groups including Principal Intimacy Professionals—where I was part of the first cohort to be certified—and Theatrical Intimacy Education, where I now serve as assistant faculty.
My work off-set bolsters my work on-set.
For eight years, I was a proofreader at New York corporate law firms. Working directly with attorneys to finalize legal documents gave me a grasp of contract language and privacy law that I now apply to assisting production and legal teams with nudity riders.
I’ve also worked in Health & Safety on 30+ film/TV projects, handling HIPPA-protected data and other confidential information, and ensuring the privacy and well being of cast and crew alike.
